FORT CAMPBELL, KY (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – With one week until the start of the 2025-26 high school football regular season, six Clarksville-area teams met up at Fryer Stadium at Fort Campbell High School on Friday for some jamboree action. Here’s how the games played out.

Eagles ground game powers them past Fort Campbell

Northeast High School kicked things off to start the night against the hosts, the Fort Campbell Falcons.

The Eagles kicked off the Jamboree with a bang, scoring in just a minute and 20 seconds on their first drive, which was capped off by a rushing touchdown from running back Montrell Perry. Fort Campbell quarterback JP Perryman responded on the next drive with a rushing touchdown of his own, before the two teams traded defensive stops. However, with 50 seconds left in the contest, Perry punched in another touchdown to give the Eagles the go-ahead win in the final seconds, 14-7.

“We have a whole lot to work on,” Northeast head coach Deonte Weston told Clarksville Now. “We had a few starters out, so we saw some young guys get some reps and gain some playing experience. We have to do a whole lot better and clean up some things before Christian County next week.”

Kenwood dominates Christian County with offensive explosion

In another contest, Kenwood High took on Christian County High School. The Knights scored four touchdowns before the first quarter was even over, with Christian James, Christian Simpson, Jayde Davis, and Josiah Brown all finding the endzone. Christian County’s Deasian Harris ran in a touchdown to stop the bleeding in the second quarter, but it was too little too late, and Kenwood ran away with a jamboree victory, 26-7.

“We cleaned up some mistakes, but we still have more cleaning (up) to do,” said Knights head coach Jarhett Snead. “We have to play mistake-free football. There were a few missed reads, sloppy penalties, and in order to go deep into the season and be good, we just have to execute. Much better job, but I still need more.”

West Creek uses fast start to race past Falcons

During their second contest of the night, Fort Campbell also took on West Creek High School.

The Coyotes built a 21-point lead before the first quarter expired, including three touchdowns and a safety, to jump out on top of the Falcons. Fort Campbell quarterback JP Perryman juked several defenders on his way to a 49-yard touchdown, but that was where the scoring stopped, and West Creek picked up a jamboree victory in Fryar Stadium, 21-7.

“It was a good game where we went out and executed,” West Creek head coach Micheal Booker told Clarksville Now. “There are some things we would like to do better, but as a whole, the team is close to how good they can be. Overall, we put on a good showing, but we have some growing to do.”

“We knew what we were up against, but we came out here and competed,” said Falcons head coach Henry Mitchell. “West Creek and Northeast are both really good football teams, but we have a lot to work on. It’s the little things we need to get straight before Northwest next week.”

CCHS returns favor with high-scoring rout of Northwest

Similarly to Fort Campbell, Christian County High School also returned to action on Friday night for their second contest against the Northwest High Vikings.

Christian County took all the scoring that they had given up against Kenwood and turned it right back around on the Vikings. Darius Flinch and Deasian Harris both punched in scores on the ground for the Colonels before Flinch also scored a receiving touchdown as time expired to earn a 20-0 win.

“(I’m) happy we came away with a win and kept our composure,” said Christian County head coach Ethan Atchley. “It shows a lot of growth in our bunch. Our kids are learning how to finish, and they competed today. We have to take a lot of momentum from this scrimmage, because this is the last time before it’s for real.”

“We have things to work on,” Vikings head coach Mark Hall told Clarksville Now. “We had a lot of penalties and discipline issues that we need to fix. We’re going to get back this week and get to work. We’re 0-0 still which is the good thing, and we’re going to get ready to play Fort Campbell.”
