Have you ever thought about how much money you actually spend each year to live? There’s a new report that breaks down the spending an average person does in a year. The annual money spent by Tennesseans is staggering.
Thrillist recently shared this crazy study. In a nutshell, it shows how much an average Tennessean spends over the course of a year to live. That means food, utilities, transportation and entertainment, etc.
When all the numbers are crunched, the average Tennessean spends approximately $34,200 per year! Yikes.
Kentuckians lay out over $33,000.
The scary part is our part of the country isn’t even in the top 10. Residents of Washington, D.C. spend over $56,000 every year, followed by Massachusetts and Hawaii.
